As I've mentioned in my Engagement Shoot Blog, every couple is unique and you can't adopt a one size fits all approach to couple's photo shoots. While some couples are well suited to fields in the sunshine, some fit best in the city and this brings me on to my recent shoot with Katie & Daniel in London.
This wasn't an engagement shoot per se, as I photographed Katie & Dan's wedding back in 2011! More of a couple's shoot with some old friends - it is in fact Katie who creates the wonderful artwork on my wedding boxes (supplied with all half-day and full-day packages)!
We spent a couple of hours on the South Bank in London, and I photographed them as they interacted with their surroundings, aiming to keep the shots fairly natural. As it was a Saturday night it was really busy out, so this presented a few challenges. At one point, a man stood next to me and also started shooting Katie & Dan - no idea who he was but I'd like to see his shot!
Below are a few examples. Katie & Dan are quite individual couple so I tried to mix the traditional romantic photos with a few deadpan ones inspired by the films of Wes Anderson. If you may be interested in a couple's photoshoot, I'd like to let you know that I am currently running a Valentine's Day offer for a Mini Shoot for only £65. This includes a 30 minute shoot at a location of your choice, plus 1x 10x8" print, 3x 7x5" prints and a high-res CD.
