Sarah and Tom were married at the Cantley House hotel in Wokingham - a real diamond of a location hidden away behind some trees in a sports field. Though the hotel was operating for the public during the wedding, all the guests essentially had the run of the extensive building during the course of the day - which included the reception area, ceremony room, bar, second bar, reception barn, garden and spare room, phew (I was walking between locations a lot on this one!).
Sadly, the rain did not give up at all for this one, aside from a very brief moment which allowed me to take the whole group shot outside. Nevermind though, as with all that space in the spare room (which was bare with an enormous bay window), there was plenty of room indoors to do the others. I did have to push the ISO up too 800+ though, even with the bay window behind me, due to the gloomy skies outside. Bounce flash was out as the ceiling was red!
The reception, and especially speeches, were lovely. Best man David produced a hilarious monologue with accompanying slide-show, a true peak of best-man speeches which still maintained affection towards the newly married couple. Dancing was crazy, with a soundtrack provided not by a DJ but on request via 50's style jukebox - a really original idea which a liked a lot and gave the guests a chance to come up with their own themes and quickly switch songs if the latest one didn't go down well.
Below are a few of my favourite shots:
