"Mum's Big Birthday Bash"

A couple of weeks ago, I returned to Stopsley Working Men's Club in Luton (where I had previously shot a particularly lively wedding reception in 2014) in order to photograph an event in aid of the Luton & Dunstable C.O.P.D clinic.
The event organiser, Alan, had this as a cause particularly close to his heart as it was in this clinic which his mother had been cared for before she sadly passed away. "Mum's Big Birthday Bash" has been held every year since on her birthday to raise funds for this valuable resource which has been a lifeline to many people in the area.

The event was exceptionally well attended, and catered for tastes young and old with various activities for the kids (including dancing, face painting and a sweet table) as well as the adults (including a silent auction, raffle, and also dancing!). Everyone present appeared to be having a great time and I believe the clinic benefited from a very generous collection of guests enabling it to continue it's good work to an even greater degree.

I was also joined on this trip by Charlie, who helped me greatly with second camera duties! Some of our favourite shots are below:
