Faye and Steve were married at St. Peter's Church, Ditton. The church itself is a quite intimate one, with only one aisle down the middle and a very small altar. Fortunately it featured a balcony towards the back affording me fantastic views across the proceedings as I would be unable to walk around during this ceremony. Also, a good amount of light poured in through the generously sized windows and bounced around the whitewashed walls leaving me with no need to use any kind of flash.
I was hired to photograph this ceremony by Faye's father, Alan. He is a very nice man, and has been kind enough to send me positive critique recently after he viewed the photos. He arrived with Faye in a vintage VW Beetle convertible (I always love it when the bride turns up in a little vintage car - I've seen a Ford Cortina, a Morris Minor and now this!).
Faye & Steve are a couple best described as fun loving and warm. This I believe showed in the finished photos with the happy couple pulling faces and funny poses throughout the parts of the ceremony as well as during the groups and the couple's shoot afterwards.
