Gillian & Fraser's Wedding

Gillian and Fraser were married at Guildford Register Office, with a reception at the Percy Arms pub & restaurant in Chilworth. They are a fantastic couple, who I had the pleasure of meeting twice before the day itself to discuss in detail what they wanted from their wedding photography, and who's input helped enable me to produce images I'm exceptionally proud of.

Their wedding had been brought forward by a few months from the middle of summer to early May, but luckily the weather was fantastic throughout and the spring sunshine, I feel, actually benefited the style of images they wanted (a glamourous, yet vintage look) more than harsher summer sunlight. I had a blast at the Scot-influenced ceremony and reception, and was more than happy to stay there photographing every little detail. Gillian and Fraser are no strangers to fun, and this showed both with their friends and family present, as well as their attitude to the day. They made sure everyone had a great time and everyone felt welcome. Laughter ran throughout, and even the speeches were hilarious!

A particular highlight for me was the arrival of Gillian and Fraser's pet dog during the reception. I've not seen a man look so happy twice in one day, and Fraser really was; both when he married the love of his life, and almost as much when his best friend came through the door!

Gillian was four months pregnant at the time of the wedding, so we also incorporated elements of a pregnancy shoot into their couple's shoot (which took place just outside of the reception venue). It was wonderful to capture the start of a young families life, and I wish them all the happiness in the world together. Below are some examples of my favourite shots from the day:
